I am going to EDGE Brainstorm 2008

This is a story about the power of Twitter and how a single twit can save you 1000€.
On September the 1st Andrej twitted about EDGE 08, an interesting conference to be held in Slovenia. It did get my attention, but I was not willing to pay 1000€ for an one day conference, even if the speakers and themes are great.
A couple of days ago I was lucky enough to see Had’s twit about some free EDGE 08 admissions. I was fast enough and I got a special invitation to attend the conference. Well lucky me :)
I will report on what I saw and who I meet at EDGE 08. I am looking forward to “Smart Ideas, Great People”
EDGE08 Highlights
- Keynote: Morten Lund, first Skype investor (sold for $2.6 billion USD) at 16:00
- Keynote: dr. Danilo Türk, President of the Republic of Slovenia at 18:30
- Session: Itay Talgam, famous Israeli music conductor on leadership at 13:45
- Workshop: Slavko Andrejevic, associate director of Rothschild, on Private Equity investments in Eastern Europe
- Demo: C-Astral, innovative unmanned aircraft system
