Simple and Intuitive? Why Bother…

I hate it when I have to make things the way others want if they want it the wrong way! Making things quickly and cheaply will not payout in the long run.
When you have two options choose the one that suits your users better, not the one that requires less development because in the end the users are your judges. They will decide if your application is valuable for them and you can be sure they will vote with their clicks on your application. If you create an application just to get the money out you will end up with absolutely no users and what is worse you will end up without a market.
From past experience I can assure you that those happy folks (users) will reward you if they get the feeling that the application / website was designed with them in mind.
p.s.: Sorry about the rant :)
