A nice overview on what you have to do to market your product successfully if you are in any industry. You don’t have to be a startup company to make the most out of these tools ;)

Thanks for a link :)

I personally don’t think going viral is the way. It’s just a small spark in point and what we should strive for is slow adoption, where we steadily get users to adopt our page/site over time.

Viral is really overrated.

Thanks for your comment Jure.

The way I see it going viral is a way to generate awareness, but you need to follow up on that and keep relations with those you hit with the viral campaign.

Jure, thanks for your comment. When I stated that the goal was to go viral I did not mean to imply that the relationship ended there. To drive true engagement between the user and the product, a company must really focus on building a remarkable product and backing it up with community outreach that fosters the good feelings people get when they use the product. Ultimately, you want your users recommending it to others which will drive virality but users won’t recommend it unless you fullfill your promise.
