The Canary is Dead = Something is Wrong in Venture Capital

Posted on | November 13, 2008

I promise this is the last slideshow on VC’s, the financial crisis or any similar topic this month. Slide no 13 tells a lot on why the economy is broken and companies that run on VC fuel will have a hard time if they do not bring enough long term value.

    Hey Andraž, thanks for commenting.

Well I agree with you that a lot of things are overlooked here, but nevertheless the slide 13 just shows that the way the VC market was operating in the last few years is broken.

This does not mean that all VCs are not working well enough, it just means that those who were bluffing and are not good enough will eventually get out of the game soon.

I am sure the good VCs will stay in the business and that the VC model is here to stay. Good luck on your journey to create a massive web success story with Zemanta (http://www.zemanta.com ) ;)

While this is an interesting slideshow I think this is nowhere to complete analytical approach to the market and a lot of things are overlooked.

The message might be true or not, but the way it arrives to conclusions does not bring confidence to the answer.

    bye
