Why So Serious?
by TS on July 5, 2009
A fantastic alternate reality game (ARG) was created as the Why So Serious marketing campagin for The Dark Knight movie.
Warner Brothers worked with 42 Entertainment to develop “Why So Serious?”, a 360 alternate reality experience promoting The Dark Knight movie, online at www.whysoserious.com. The campaign has just won the Grand Prix for the Cyber Category at Cannes International Advertising Festival
Hope to see more of this as I am fascinated how people react when such an engagement is offered to them in the right way.

This is amazing stuff.
It seems like soon we’re going to hit the point when you’ll have no idea which world (literally) the person walking past you on the street is currently living in.
And the alternate becomes the primary.
Real life is the new black.

Yeah it is really fascinating how people are ready to live alternate realities of their own – even if they are living them in the same society.
I would dare to say the tech community also lives in a sort of ARG where various blogs and services are the puppet masters :)
