The Art of Listening

I’ve known this for a while but this last month has proved to me once again, that listening to feedback is one of the most important skills (yes, I regard it as a skill) one should have if he/she wants to create something remarkable.
Even if you think you are really good at something and you know everything about that topic, there is always someone who can help you push it a bit further - you just need to learn to listen to those people. Of course you need to have an internal “bullshit alarm” that is triggered every now and then.
I am quite amazed that those people who I regard as great in their respective areas, and who usually value their time a lot, are always ready to find a slot in their busy schedules to help you and provide you feedback - but only if they feel you will really make something out of it.
The moral of the story is: “You will get good feedback if you ask for it, but you have to know how to use it.”
