This post is more a note to self before anything else. I have been intrigued by game mechanics for a long time now and have tried to incorporate them into some of the products I’ve been imagining and designing – for now only as future concepts that can be enabled at a later stage.

Nevertheless, I am trying to understand the underlying principles and thanks to Tadej I discovered these two slide sets that do a great deal of explaining what gamification is and why a simple pointing system does not make your product a game.
